Orioles Beat Blue Jays In Extras

The Orioles beat the Blue Jays on Openning Day in a game that went into extra innings.  A walk off homerun in the bottom of the 11th inning by Mark Trumbo gave the Orioles the 3-2 win.  The winning pithcer for the game was Orioles reliever Tyler Wilson, while Toronto’s Jason Grilli got the loss.

Kevin Gausman got the start for the Orioles and had a strong performance going 5.1 innings giving up two earned runs. In his outing Gausman was able to strike out five batters, giving up only five hits and walking four batters.

With the Orioles best pithcer Chris Tillman on the 10-day disabled list it is important that the Orioles are able to get quality starts from the rest of their pitching rotation.
