Msuician Steven Van Zandt To Speak At Rutgers Commencement Ceremony
Rutgers University set to have legendary singer, songwriter, and human rights activist Steven Van Zandt speak at their Commencement Ceremony.
The Commencement Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 14, at 10 a.m., and will be at High Point Soultions Stadium. The stadium is laocted at 1 Scarlet Knight Way, Piscataway Township, NJ 08854. The event will be outside regardless of rain of shine.
Steven Van Zandt is best known for being one of the founding members of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He has made his career primalry as a musician but has also stepped into the world of television and broadway. Most notably as Silvio Dante in the HBO series “The Sopranos“.
Van Zandt is also the chair of the Rock and Roll Forever foundation. Where the goal off the foundation is to offer free educational services for instructors and students. The program is geared primalry toward high school and middle school students.
In order for guests/students to access parking on all campuses in the New Brunswick and Piscataway areas must display special Commencement hangtags. For more information about parking please visit Parking Guidelines.
The stadium will be open to the public at 8 a.m., and shuttle busses from the parking lots will begin at 7 a.m. The ceremonies are open to the public, therefore tickets are not needed for attendance. The stadium does hold 52,454 people, so guests should plan acording a head of time to get preferred seating.
High Point Solutions Stadium is located by red, green, and brown parking lots.

Sex Therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer To Speak At Woman To Woman Confrence
St. Joesph’s Regional Medical Center is happy to announce that they will be holding a Woman to Woman Confrence, where famous sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer will be the keynote speaker.
The confrence will be held at the HIlton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford, New Jeresy on Monday, June 3, and will go from 8 a.m., to 4 a.m. The Hilton Meadowlands Hotel is located at 2 Meadowlands Plaza, East Rutherford, NJ 07073.
The event is title “Harmony In Your Life”, as Dr. Ruth Westheimer will be disccsing current sexual issues and how to have respect for one self, for others, and also how to forster gratifying sexual realtaionships. The Confrence will also include a day of workshops that cover the following topics;
- “Healthier Eating and a Healtheir you”
- Hello Exercise, Goodbye Blues!”
- Cosmetic Surgery- The Choice is Yours”
- “Steps to a Healthier Heart”

Start Studded Opening For Nightclub 1 Oak At The Tropicana Hotel and Casino In Atlantic City
Atlantic City, N.J. — The popular Nightclub 1 Oak will be opening a branch in the Tropicana Hotel and Casino Memorial Weekend, with a star studded four-night celebration. Both The Tropicana Hotel and Casino, and 1 Oak are known for providing top of the line entertainment and will continue that trend Memorial Day Weekend.
The massive four-day opening will have a plethora of start-studded performances the entire weekend. Guests will be able to see performances from Taylor Swift, Drake, Pitbull, and Justin Bieber. The ribbon cutting ceremony will start at 9 p.m., Friday, May 26. One hour later at 10 p.m., the headliner for the weekend, Taylor Swift will take the stage as one of the four performances. Gloria Steinem To Speak At SVA Commencement Exercises
Gloria Steinem will be the keynote speaker at The School of Visual Arts‘ (SVA) Commencement exercises this year. The exercises will be held at 1 p.m., on Tue, May 9, at Radio City Music Hall, which is located at 1260 6th Ave, New York, NY 10020.
Gloria Steinem is known throughout the world for her work as a writer, artist, lecturer and political activist. More importantly she is also a champion for women’s rights and children’s rights. She also well known for her role in gender equality and co-founded organizations that help raise awareness for those issues, one being URGE, (formerly Choice USA).
Her publishing career starter in the 1970s, where she also co-founded two magazines Ms. and New York. She has also published books that have gone on to become bestsellers, which include My Life on the Road, Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem, Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions.
Due to her success as a writer she has won numerous awards, which include The Society of Writers award, and the James Weldon Johnson award for Journalism. Also she has been given awards as advocate, which include the Bill of Rights Award, The National Gay Rights Adovactes Award, and the Ceres Medal.
In recent years SVA has had many distinguished guests speak at their Commencement exercises such as United States Congressman John Lewis, playwrights Edward Albee and Tony Kushner, and biologist Dr. Gerald Edelman. So it is fitting that they continue with Gloria Steinem.

Preview of Series with Boston
The Orioles will play their first away series of the season starting Tue, April 11, in Boston. This is an important series for the Orioles becuase it is with divison rival Boston Red Sox.
Much like the other teams in the American Leauge East the Red Sox are an extremely dangerous offense. So pitching will play an important role in the outcomes of the games. With starting pitcher David Price being on the disabled list adn Chris Sale pitching tonight the Orioles need to get to the pitchers early and often.
Last season starting Outfielder for the Red Sox Mookie Betts hit three homeruns in the same game against the Orioles adn is still as dnagoerus as before so the starting pitchers will have to be careful when pitching to Betts.

Orioles Remain in First despite loss
The Orioles lost to the New York Yankees today 7-3. The game was close until the eighth and ninth inning when the Yankees offense drove in five runs to take the lead and the win.
Orioles relief pitcher Darren O’Day gave up four runs and was given the loss for the game. Even though the Orioles lost the still remain in first place in the Amercian Leauge East.
The Orioles will have monday off and will travel to divison rival Boston Red Sox to play a three game series.

Orioles Beat Yankees
On Sat, April 8 the Orioles the New York Yankees 5-4. In the game pithcer Mychal Givens got the win, and Zac Briton got the save for the Orioles. While Dellin Betances got the loss for the Yankees.
The Orioles drove in five runs on 10 hits and the Yankees scored 4 runs on 9 hits. None of the runs for the Orioles came from homeruns which is odd considering they depend on the long ball to score their runs usually.
The Orioles are on a four game winning streak and finish the three game series on Sunday April 9 at 1:35pm.
